Backdrops [Lifestyle B-Roll]

We recommend filming in areas that have neutral or interesting backgrounds but avoid backgrounds that are too busy, distracting and interfere with the main focus, the talent.

Backdrops [Interviews]

• Subjects should sit on a stool (or backless chair) or stand.
  • Other chairs and/or sofas can be distracting.
• Ideally, two camera angles should cover one medium-wide shot and one medium-closeup.
• For documentary pieces, interviewees should look off-screen, not directly at the camera.

✅ We recommend filming interviewees with a backdrop that provides sufficient contrast from their wardrobe.
