Variety is key so it’s important to take images of the same subject, both horizontally and vertically so we have more options to choose from.
*Landscape orientation is crucial for our website, e-blasts and blog posts.
✅ Landscape

✅ Portrait

We recommend taking photos in areas that have neutral or interesting backgrounds but avoid backgrounds that are too busy, distracting and interfere with the main focus, the talent.
With that said, aside from close-ups of our Levels patch and app, we recommend photographing the talent with normal to wide range lenses since we want to feel close and personal to the subjects.
❌ Distracting background
✅ Neutral background

For indoor and outdoor lifestyle photography, we recommend emphasizing on photography that emphasizes an action instead of a pose. We want to feel like we’ve caught a moment in time.
