Disagree and Commit is a principle which encourages team members to align around a goal, regardless of their outlook on it
The foundation of the principle is to have people express their honest opinions about an initiative, and commit to whatever direction the company decides to go
The principle is used as one Amazon’s core values, and originates back to Andy Grove (former CEO of Intel)
The idea of disagreeing about an initiative and following through with relentless commitment is what helps to make a decision (and the implementation of it) more effective for a team and company
